What is your birth philosophy?

• I believe that every parent is capable of birth, and my role is to help you achieve the most ideal birth in whatever ways I can!

• I am always working to be adaptable to any situations that arise like location changes, emergencies, or decisional changes

• I believe in finding what aspects of birth are most important to you and controlling what you can so that things out of your control don’t feel so overwhelming

How do you support different family styles?

• I will happily work with any family style, including those with single parents, multiple partners, surrogates, and LGBT+ folks

• While I do believe that the birthing person is the most important person in the room, partners should always feel included!

Are you a religious?

• While I am at a point in my life where religion is not personally important to me, I was raised Lutheran for many years and I’m still very familiar with a lot of the songs, prayers, and teachings. I fully understand if Christian clients want a Christian doula, but if you are willing to work with someone who isn’t, I’m happy to pray or sing with you!
